North Creek Grand Gravel Route - 44.3 miles
Paradox Brewery to Elk Lake and Boreas Ponds
Over 50% of this ride is dirt! 23 miles! Please be respectful of Elk Lake Lodge by riding no further than the hiker's parking lot. Excellent views of a backcountry lake and Adirondack High Peaks await when you get to Boreas Ponds. Please park your bike at the gate approximately 500 feet from the Boreas Pond dam and walk the remaining distance. Enjoy the spectacular view and return to Paradox Brewery ready to refuel after this great ride!
Paradox Brewery/Ironville Loop
This route is a mix of good country asphalt and good to rough dirt roads. Very scenic and very little traffic but does have some punchy climbs and fun descents.
Westport Loop
This road ride begins (and ends!) at the Essex County Fairgrounds. The ride takes you along beautiful back country roads with only a few short sections along a state highway.
Paradox Brewery to Belfry Fire Tower Loop
This is a great all-asphalt ride with a very short 1/4 mile hike to the base of the Belfry Fire Tower which affords great views of the Adirondack High Peaks, Lake Champlain, and the Green Mountains in Vermont.
Lake Champlain Birding Tour
Love wine, cheese, bikes & birds? Then our all-new small group birding by bike tour is for you.
This summer, we've partnered with University of Vermont graduate student and New York State certified guide Hyla Howe to present a series of guided birding by bike tours. The first of which was held June 26 in the Champlain Valley. Best of all, proceeds from this will support graduate research being conducted on grassland birds in the Adirondacks.
Bike the Barns
There is only one way to experience the rich agricultural story of the Adirondacks, and that is farm-by bike. But don't sleep on this one, Bike the Barns is always the first to sell out.
You guessed it, this fall bicycling tour features farm stops, but what makes this event special is its ability to tell the rich agricultural story of the Lake Champlain Valley (route and farm stops TBD) while experiencing the landscape by bike. You can see, smell and absorb so much more when moving by your own pedal power.
