Randy Young

Randy Young is a retired Saranac Lake High School biology teacher. He was also the nordic ski coach and outdoor club advisor.  Each spring the club would take a bike tour including the entire Erie canal trail, Petit Nord in Canada and around Lake Champlain from Saranac Lake.  Upon his retirement, Randy biked to Florida as a retirement gift to himself.  He has always been happy to share his love of biking, skiing and other outdoor activities.

During his post retirement years, Randy continues to coach, give nordic ski lessons and lead bike tours in the Saranac Lake/Lake Placid area.  Randy was part of the original Bike ADK team serving as mechanic and retailer.

Randy’s motto has always been “live where you would vacation”.
