Stratton Ride Raises $11,000 for Youth Programs
It goes without saying that we LOVE supporting events that do good for people and communities. The annual Pat Stratton Ride, which has been hosted by the Saranac Lake Kiwanis Club for 21 years, is one of our favorites.
To date, the ride has raised over $65,000 for area youth programs, including $11,000 from this year's event.
That's $2,000 more than last year.
So, where does the money go? Well, the Kiwanis have purchased and given away over 1,700 bike helmets and they're donating a big chuck of the funds from this year to help the operational budget of the Saranac Lake Youth Center.
We're considering adding a second day of riding to the 2022 event to help folks experience more of the region by bike, but more importantly, raise even more $$ for our area kids. Drop us an email and let us know if you'd be interested in joining two days of riding on "Stratton Weekend" next year.
