Adirondack Life: The Magazine of the Mountains
The Adirondack Park is larger than the state of Vermont, and that’s a lot of territory to cover. But Adirondack Life magazine, our Bike ADK Partner of the Month for August, has been all over every aspect of the North Country since 1969.
The bimonthly magazine also offers two special focus issues each year, covers the Adirondacks’ people, places, wildlife, history and public issues, and gives readers insider tips on outdoor recreation, from hiking and canoeing to ice-climbing and backcountry skiing. Based in Jay, the annual special issues include Guide to the Great Outdoors devoted entirely to outdoor pursuits, and At Home in the Adirondacks each fall featuring architecture, interior design, gardening, and home products reflecting the region’s unique style.
Adirondack Life and BikeADK partner through mutual promotions where the magazine helps to promote BikeADK events, while BikeADK introduces event participants to the magazine at those events and through other promotions.
And yes, every BikeADK guest receives a free copy of a recent issue and a nudge, nudge to become a subscriber.
Publisher Lisa Lincoln feels the partnership is a winning situation for both parties and ends up benefitting both readers and cyclists.
“We’re thrilled to partner with BikeADK. Both of our organizations—whether we’re making magazines or leading bike tours—work to explore, protect and share this incredible landscape.”
Bike Adirondacks owner Doug Haney feels the same way.
“Successful promotion is at the heart of our success in growing participation in all kinds of cycling in the Adirondacks. A quality publication like Adirondack Life is perfectly suited to help us do that.”
But really, it's about the quality of this magazine. Every image and every word is the story of these magical mountains.
