Women's Weekend An Instant Hit
The first annual Adirondack Women's Weekend was an instant hit and is already scheduled to return to the Hotel Saranac and Saranac Lake on June 24-26, 2022.
What began as a fabulous evening outside on the the Hotel Saranac Terrace savoring delicious locally sourced food, regional wines and craft beers quickly turned into a full weekend of cycling fun, laughter and instant plans to do it again next year.
But don't take it from us. Take it from the guests:
"The women’s weekend was a wonderful experience! Great accommodations, fun cycling, beautiful scenery and good company. This team did a fantastic job!"
"Biking in the ADK is a dream come true. Can't beat the scenery, comradery, food and North Country culture. Loved riding with others who appreciate a good workout in heaven on Earth."
"Awesome women’s weekend with amazing routes, guides, and accommodations. Well thought out."
Best of all, proceeds from the event were donated to Play ADK, a nonprofit organization working to create a state-of-the-art children’s museum in the heart of Saranac Lake. Riders where able to enjoy dinner with members of Play ADK's board of directors and tour the site where the museum is to be built.
And let's not forget the cycling. While we did get a little wet on Saturday, the route was fantastic and featured incredible 180 degree views of Whiteface Mountain and the Saranac River valley followed by a relaxed late afternoon happy hour at the Hotel Saranac with craft beers and seltzers from Paradox Brewery.
Sunday's route, however, took the cake. After 10 miles of nearly car-free riding through a sweet smelling forest canopy, the ride took us to Paul Smith's College and a catered rest stop overlooking St. Regis Pond before sweeping back to Saranac Lake with a stop at Donnelly's famous ice cream.
Mark your calendars for next year and join our mailing list to get a heads up on registration. This event will sell out fast.
