Win A Cycle The Erie Canal Registration!
Ride with BikeADK and you could win a free 2025 registration to either Cycle the Erie Canal or Cycle the Hudson Valley rides hosted by Parks & Trails New York!
Thanks to our friends at Parks & Trails New York (PTNY), we're giving away free registrations to one of their fabulous fully supported summer tours, either the weeklong classic Cycle the Erie Canal scheduled for July 12-20 or the August 4-9 Cycle the Hudson Valley featuring the Empire State Trail.
Two winners* - who will get to choose the event they'd like to join - will be drawn at random on Saturday, March 1 from a pool of all those registered for any 2025 Bike Adirondacks event by Friday, February 28, which also happens to be the last day of Early Bird pricing.
For 40 years, PTNY has been the state’s leading advocate for public lands, driving transformative change. Founded in 1985 by a group of passionate park advocates who believed New York’s magnificent state park system merited its own advocacy group, PTNY’s purview quickly grew to include trails, outdoor recreation, active transportation, and bicycle and pedestrian issues.

Cycle the Erie Canal
The history Cycle the Erie Canal tour offers some of the best cycling anywhere in the Northeast. This 400-mile, fully-supported bike tour takes riders from Buffalo to Albany in eight days. And this year, the event celebrates the bicentennial of the Erie Canal.
Covering between 40 and 60 miles per day, cyclists experience scenic vistas, pivotal history, and unparalleled cycling. Best of all, the Erie Canalway Trail is now more than 85 percent off-road and suitable for all ages and abilities.

Cycle the Hudson Valley
Cycle the Hudson Valley is a fully-supported five-day, 200-mile tour from the Albany area, following the Hudson River section of the Empire State Trail, now the longest multi-use trail in the nation, to NYC.
Daily routes will be up to 50 miles. The Empire State Trail through the Hudson Valley is 63% paved trail, 13% crushed stone dust trail and 24% on road. The tour includes miles of flat or rolling stretches on paved trail, stone dust sections, some steep climbs on rural roads, and short sections of either high-speed roads or urban streets that connect the gaps of the off-road trail which call for experienced cycling skills.
*Two winners will be chosen at random from a pool of all those registered by Friday, February 28 for any 2025 Bike Adirondacks event. Winners will be contacted by telephone on Saturday, March 1 and can choose to accept one free registration to either Cycle the Erie Canal or Cycle the Hudson Valley as their prize. Bike Adirondacks will then connect the winners with Parks & Trails New York to claim their prize.
