The 11th Annual Ride for the River benefitting Ausable River Association did not disappoint.

Over 100 riders and river enthusiasts took the the Ausable River Valley in Wilmington, Ausable Forks and Jay Sunday to celebrate this incredible watershed with a sun soaked ride featuring picturesque routes of 45 or 30 miles, craft beer by Great Adirondack Brewing, BBQ by PorkBusters and live music from The Doghouse Carpenters. 

And best of all, the finish featured the Town of Wilmington's incredible Lake Everest Beach for refreshing dips in the river right after the ride. 

Thanks to everyone who made this event such a fabulous success, including Ausable River Association staff and volunteers, High Peaks Cyclery, Hammer Nutrition, CycleSafe, Dak Bar and Adirondack Life Magazine.

Mark your calendars for July 16, 2023 when we'll Ride for the River for year the 12th year.

Riders take to the scenic roads of the Ausable River Valley for the 11th Annual Ride for the River Just one of many calm pastoral roads on Ride for the River. What would Ride for the River be without, well, the river? The cool treed canopy of one of the many Adirondack backroads. Fun to see so many BikeADK jerseys in action. The view of Silver Lake mountain. Those who cycle together... Wildflowers along Ride for the River And more quiet backroads. The view from Asgaard Farm is this good. It's a climb to get there, but this is what you get at the top. So many views on Ride for the River. Tandem bikes? You bet! E-bikes and even a hand cycle. Of course we got a barn shot. Icy cold water for a hot day at a Ride for the River rest stop. So many smiles. Why? Because it was fun. Does this classify as a moose sighting? The Doghouse Carpenters kept the finish party moving. More banjo? You bet! Ausable River Association Executive Director Kelley Tucker thanks riders. The A-Team: Ausable River Association that is. Rolling back into Wilmington looks like this. So many amazing views of this pristine watershed. Did we mention quiet backroads? This is what you do in the shade. The Jay Covered Bridge is a must photo stop And you get to ride through it our our route. Nothing like a mom and son riding together. See ya next year. Someone forgot to wear sunscreen.
