ON DECK: Wilmington Mountain Bike Fest
The countdown is on for the 6th Annual Wilmington Mountain Bike Festival and it isn’t just another weekend of riding; it's a chance to ride with purpose. Bike Fest is a major fundraiser for Barkeater Trails Alliance (BETA) and your registration fee directly supports its work.
What else is in it for you? All kinds of good stuff - a sweet festival T-shirt, stickers, access to group rides & shuttles, a front row seat to arguably one of the most impressive bonfires of the year, dreamy mountain views, local food and brews, skills clinics and camping if purchased, sanitary facilities, live music and - let’s just drive this point home again - that warm fuzzy feeling that lingers on after you've given to a cause near and dear to you.
BETA is a member-supported, volunteer-driven, human-powered trail building and stewardship organization. The fest is a celebration of what they do and why they do it. Online registration is now closed, but you can sign up on site.
