Bikeatoga Raises $11,000 for Bike Rescue
Bikeatoga's Saratoga Foliage Ride raises $11,000 in support of its bike rescue program.
We had a great turnout for the 3rd Annual Saratoga Foliage Ride! 208 riders from 14 states joined us for two days of great cycling in and around Saratoga Springs. Our 30, 50 & 75 mile routes included horse farms and dairy farms, local ice cream, Revolutionary War re-enactors and miles of scenic backcountry roads along the Hudson River. Our catered lunches featured pulled pork, eggplant parm, sausage and peppers and a great vegan option from 9 Miles East. And at the end of the day, riders enjoyed downtown Happy Hour deals on craft beers, cocktails and bubbly.
Best of all? Bikeatoga raised more than $11,000 to support our bike rescue workshop, where our volunteer mechanics refurbish used bikes and get them back out to the community, most often to families of limited means, on a free or “pay what you can” basis.
While our mechanics work for free, we spend thousands of dollars each year on bike parts, tubes, tires, helmets, lights, etc. Last year Saratogians adopted 700 bikes from the Bikeatoga workshop – this year we are on track to top 800.
Our thanks to everyone who joined us. We’ll see you next year, October 10-11, 2026.
